I'm working towards my bachelor's of science in Geology while minoring in Geophysics at the University of Houston. I will graduate soon. I have had a lot of opportunities to tutor students in the area of my major throughout my years at college. I discovered my affinity for teaching, and I'm now able to tutor in any math, science, or language arts subjects. I can tutor numerous AP classes; math at all levels from basic math through advanced calculus and beyond; science courses such as physics, chemistry, biology, and many more; and reading and writing, including helping students as they write their college essays. I am also good at working with students as they study for various standardized tests, such as the SAT. When I tutor students, I focus on their individual needs. I start by discovering their best learning style, and adjust my methods and materials to best create lessons that are meaningful, interesting, and memorable. I use repetition as a way to memorize things that must be memorized, and with every technique I use, I focus on making our time spent together learning as fun as possible. In my spare time, I like playing the ukulele and piano, and playing football and basketball.
