I currently tutor ESL to refugee children. I also have experience tutoring elementary school students in math. I had some exceptional children, and I have developed the skill of patience as a result. When I tutor a student, I break up difficult concepts into smaller segments so that students can better understand them, helping students who do not speak English natively. I also use a lot of visual aids and resources, and I connect topics to other things students know about. I'm also very friendly, and I enjoy making connections with students to build a conducive learning environment. I ask a lot of questions to gauge understanding, and I love my work. When I have free time, I like to read, spend time with family and friends, and volunteer.
