Hello, my name is Rownak, and I am located in Katy, Texas. I earned my undergraduate degree in Austin where I studied petroleum engineering at the University of Texas. I absolutely love teaching and plan to go on to earn my teaching certificate. Much of my tutoring experience is in mathematics, working with middle school students all the way through students of advanced mathematics. I find mathematics very satisfying, perhaps because it is possible to use evidence to prove that you have the correct answer. In my free time I enjoy a number of pursuits, including hiking, sports, attending music festivals, singing karaoke with friends, watching movies, and cooking.My teaching philosophy is that every student is capable of learning the material, and it is my responsibility to keep trying new methods and approaches to the concepts until the student succeeds. If a student is struggling, I do not see it as their failing, but rather a failure of the instruction to reach them. I am very patient and committed to seeing my students through whatever learning challenges we may encounter. I am available to tutor students in a range of subjects, including elementary and middle school math, algebra, calculus 1-3, AP calculus, differential equations, geometry, reading, writing, essay editing, and literature.
