I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Mercer University, also majored in Christianity, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While I was in college myself, I tutored my peers in writing. I also taught junior high school students, tutoring in a wide range of subject areas, and worked with students who had special needs. Presently, I am a Research Assistant at a Psychology Lab associated with the University of Houston and will be pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Of course, I am passionate about subjects relating to Psychology, so I love working with students in this arena. I also greatly enjoy assisting students in developing writing skills in any arena. I also have a background in standardized testing and a broad range of core subject matter across a wide range of grade levels. I tailor tutoring sessions to the individual student, and am confident in my ability to adapt for learning disabilities and other special needs. Each student has the potential to succeed, and I take on each with the expectation that I can help him or her reach that potential. When I'm not working, I like to cook, sew, read, and work out. I also really enjoy puppies.
