I attended Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, where I completed my bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a Biochemistry focus and a minor in music. Currently, I am working toward my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, with aspirations of becoming a board-certified surgeon. I have been tutoring since my sophomore year in college, when I began mentoring incoming freshmen who were at-risk academically. I learned a lot from working as a mentor, as being exposed to a diverse range of students with a variety of backgrounds helped to build my own empathy and educational flexibility. I enjoy tutoring a wide range of subjects, including algebra, chemistry, physiology, Spanish, English writing, and others. However, I am partial to tutoring algebra, as I love that there is one right answer to every problem. I enjoy getting to know my students so I can tailor my teaching techniques to their learning style, and I like to create a fun and supportive educational environment for all of my students. In my free time, I enjoy playing a variety of music styles with a group of my friends. I am also an accomplished equestrienne, and enjoy other active pursuits like cycling and running as well.
