Experience
Originally from Colombia, I taught Math for nine years, accounting for five and became Business Manager for four years, all at bilingual schools in my home town, Barranquilla. Moved to Florida in June 2006 and taught Math for 6th, 7th & 8th grade at a private school in Miami for two years. In June 2008, I moved to Katy, TX, where I have taught Pre-algebra and Algebra I at public schools. Currently I possess Texas teaching certifications in Math 4-8, Math 8-12 and Special Education EC-12. As of this year, I have decided to spend some time playing tennis in the mornings and to keep up with my passion, teaching math, in the afternoons. My tutoring experience comes back from high school where I used my natural ability and love for math to help my classmates succeed. This wonderful experience led me into the road of tutoring for all school ages and later on teaching at the secondary level.
